Still Man Fights ReviewThis was a very enjoyable read that was hard to put down. I was so engrossed in it, I didn't mind when my bus was stuck in traffic since it meant I could get further in the story on my commute. This was an action packed story written with such detail you could relate to the characters, and understand their movements and motives. More than once I caught myself imitating the fight sequences. I was impressed by the author's ability to capture the mannerisms, interactions and emotions and of the characters.
I hope a sequel will be out soon, until then I'll gladly re-read Still Man Fights.Still Man Fights OverviewIdle stands for honor and hope on the lawless, primitive planet of NewHome - the place Earth banished its worst criminals and murderers. Idle stands still in battle, waiting for the last possible moment to take action against his attackers. But the adventurer is standing a little shakier now that age is catching up with him. Idle finds a helpless baby in a cave populated with ruthless criminals. She is in more trouble than anyone else Idle has encountered in his fifty-year career on “Hell's Waiting Room." To save her life, he must invoke an irreversible ritual that will take everything from him. Is she worth it?Little Julio Muerta loves trouble. As the spoiled rich son of NewHome's most powerful crime boss, he lives for enjoyment. LJ discovers a power inside himself - a power which will lead to both his wildest dreams and his darkest nightmares."Like your science fiction rough and tumble? Check out Justin Leeper's STILL MAN FIGHTS. Plenty of dust-up action, fists and blades. A promising first novel from this upcoming author." - Steve Perry, author of STAR WARS: SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE and THE MAN WHO NEVER MISSED“This novel is about emotional connections, and the power and strength that comes from being attentive to others and ourselves. Readers will react strongly to the characters in STILL MAN FIGHTS - I found them lovable, brave, repellant, pitiable, complicated, and compelling." - Hannah Stephenson, owner of poetry blog The Storialist and contributor at Huffington Post
